1984 NB Quilt

We are excited to have the opportunity to showcase this beautiful quilt completed by students and volunteers in the Sussex area!

Note from donor:

"N.B. celebrated 200 years of being a province in 1984. We grade 5 teachers Mabel Danson, Margaret Corbett, and myself, Carol Branscombe, decided to make a quilt to honour the occasion. Any student in our school who wanted to make an artex paint block were welcomed to do so. The block had to depict something from our past. We invited quilters to come quilt if they wished. My mother and whoever she could talk into coming were regular quilters. Our dear Mabel set the quilt blockers together and bound the quilt. Here at 40 years later is that quilt. Enjoy!"
